I’m excited about posting some of my recipes, but haven’t taken the time to do it yet. Mostly I’ve been looking for a theme that I like. I haven’t found it yet but in the meantime I’m going to start posting stuff. I love Wordpress and being able to change the theme at any time without affecting the content.

I have been very busy lately with work…. typing jobs and a design job. Which hasn’t left much time for working on my blog. But I’ve decided not to keep waiting for some “magical” day when all my work is done to leave me time for hobbies. You just have to squeeze in the hobbies here and there. Balance out your day with a little bit of everything instead of devoting too much time to any one thing.

So as my first “real” post I’m going to put up something that I originally wrote as a testimonial to send to Flylady. I don’t know if she will publish it in her email list or not, but she did write me a very nice thank you note for sending it to her.

I have resisted the urge to have a blog for a while now. I enjoy reading others’ blogs sometimes but just really didn’t think I had anything to say that I wanted to “share with the world.”

But lately things keep cropping up, like someone asking me for one of my recipes and realizing how convenient it would be to just send her a link. And then she might see other recipes of mine that she could use… all in one place! I love that idea.

And sometimes…. okay, rarely… I might get an inspirational thought about how to do something better. And how great to share that in case it could help someone else!

Now, what to call my new blog? “Laura’s Kitchen” instantly popped into mind. Not that I spend all my time in the kitchen. I am mostly in my office. But “Laura’s Office” doesn’t have that cozy ring to it. When I think of a kitchen, I think of a place where great things are created. It is a studio of health and nutrition and just yumminess. And I have a strong feeling that most of my blogs will be about food.

So there you have it. I’m making a blog. Here I go.
